House Conservative Fund endorses Hackett

The House Conservative Fund, a political action committee that supports Republican candidates with economic and socially conservative issues, has endorsed businessman Chris Hackett in the contentious Republican primary fight in the 10th Congressional District.

"Chris Hackett is the kind of candidate we love to see," said Rep. Tom Feeney of Florida who is honorary chairman of the fund. "Frankly, we don't have enough Members of Congress with backgrounds in economics like his, who not only understand why reducing the size of government and the scope of federal intrusion is important, but who can also explain it to the rest of us."

Hackett, who also received the endorsement of Club for Growth, faces another businessman, Dan Meuser in the upcoming GOP primary on April 22. The Republican nominee will look to unseat Democrat Chris Carney in the traditionally Republican district in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Meuser has received the endorsement of the Lackawana County GOP.
