After I posted the 50 Most Powerful, a few were surprised the list didn’t have any print reporters. An argument could be made for one or two to be included, but they just missed the cut. So I decided to pacify the press corps in Harrisburg, who I am sure were scouring the list looking for their name. I have developed the Ten Most Powerful PA reporters. Sorry Alex and Dan, I had to make the list non-Politicker reporters. One thing I realized making the list, there are a lot of quality print reporters in Pennsylvania as some quality reporters did not make the list.
1) Mario Cattabiani, Philadelphia Inquirer
2) Dennis Roddy, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
3) John Baer, Philadelphia Daily News
4) Brad Bumsted, Pittsburgh Tribune
5) John Micek, Allentown Morning Call
6) Charlie Thompson, Patriot-News
7) Mark Levy, Associated Press
8) Jan Murphy, Patriot-News
9) Brett Lieberman, Patriot-News
10) Pete DeCoursey, CapitolWire
Republicans have had a real bad month while things have been great for Democrats over the last month (unless your name is Bill DeWeese). >

Let the outrage begin
but I have to vote for John Baer because of the old college tie and the flamethrowers line for cleaning up after Bonus Gate
(we are both Mt. St. Mary's College alums)
having said that
Charlie Thompson and Dennis Roddy get extra high marks for initial and continuing exposure that led to Bonus Gate
Brad Bumstead exposed the uncleansweep.com tie to the house GOP (Bonus Gate II)
Mark Levy gets a TKO for covering the Greens v. Dems fist fight (Romanelli v. Dems --coming to pay per view near you in the Fall)
Micek will give me the look the next time I wander into the press room
