New biography videos introduce candidates

It used to be a candidate had 30 seconds on television to introduce himself to voters in his initial biography commercials. Now they have unlimited time to do so on their websites. Two candidates for Congress have done just that.

Democratic candidate Bob Roggio has a new video on his website which is a biographical introduction to himself. No surprise in the first ten seconds is a picture of his opponent, Congressman Jim Gerlach, standing along side President George Bush.

Republican Tom Manion also posts a series of new videos called “Letters from Travis.” The 4-part video series lay out the story of Manion’s son Travis who died in the Iraq War and how it effected Manion’s decision to run for Congress against Patrick Murphy in the 8th congressional district.
