Edge Report House edition

A couple weeks ago Inside Edge took an early look at this fall's senate elections. Today we are taking a quick look at the house races. Currently the Democrats hold a 102-101 advantage. Of the 102 seats we are calling 93 seats solid seats for the Democrats. Of the 101 Republican seats we are calling 89 solid hold for the Republicans. So the battle for control comes down to the 21 other seats. Any of these seats could change at any time and we will update this report as they do.

Of the nine Democratic seats up for grabs we are currently putting 5 as leaning Democrat, 1 a slight edge for Democrats and 3 toss-ups.

Of the 12 Republican seats up for grabs we currently show 8 as leaning Republican, 2 slight edge for Republicans and 2 toss-ups.

If you disagree or would like to plead your case for your race you can always email us, we welcome input.

Below you will see the races we see as competitive with the incumbent in bold.

House seat for the 26th

Don't discount the house seat in the 26th. This is a closer race than you seem to think and with the fundraising and voter contact we are making, we are looking pretty good.
