In what is considered by many one the most important FEC filings, Lou Barletta will show more than $330,000 raised in the second quarter of 2008.Barletta, who got a late start in his race for congress, has now raised more than $500,000 and will show $320k cash on hand. The campaign has now received donations from more than 4,000 individuals.
In a post earlier this month I wrote about Melissa Hart,“Hart is known for her work ethic and willingness to make money calls when she needs to. Well she needs to. Hart will need to put up a bigger number than she did in the first quarter…” It appears Hart made those calls. After a disappointing first quarter where Hart raised $141k, she more than doubled her take in the 2nd quarter and has reported$300k raised over the last three months and finishes the quarter with $625k cash on hand.
Congressman Tim Holden has filed his 2nd quarter FEC report and after raising $215k he has a little over $900k left on hand.Holden may be stock piling for ’12 when Republicans are sure to try and go after him during the 2010 redistricting.
Congressman Bob Brady was the first congressional candidate to report his 2nd quarter FEC numbers yesterday.Brady reported bringing in $112,265 dollars and ended the quarter with $473,070 cash on hand.Brady is running for re-election in PA-01.
