PoliticerPA.com has learned Dodger great Tommy Lasorda will headline an event for congressional candidate Lou Barletta in NYC on All-Star Weekend.  When asked about the event Barletta campaign manager Vince Galko said "Tommy Lasorda and the Barletta's have had a long time friendship. Mayor Barletta was excited to learn that Mr. Lasorda wanted to help his campaign.  The Mayor still remains die hard Yankee fan but a little help from a Dodger is always welcome.  It looks like this event will be a great success."

The event will be held on July 13th starting at 5pm at Vivolo, 140 E. 74th St, NY.

Earlier today Inside Edge reported some close to the NRCC were not overwhelmed by Mayor Lou Barletta’s fundraising efforts in the first quarter of 2008. While we stick by this report, one Barletta supporter was quick to come to Barletta’s defense.  read more »
