Even though a York County judge ruled Wednesday that he cannot serve as mayor of Wrightsville, Steven Rambler is not giving up yet.

Accepting the argument of District Attorney Stan Rebert, Judge Richard Renn ruled that Rambler's guilty plea in 1996 to a felony charge of "mailing extortionate communications" was "infamous," and therefore prohibited him from serving in public office under the state constitution.

Wrightsville Mayor Steven Rambler has been disqualified by a York County judge.  Rambler pleaded guilty in 1996 after he solicited participants for sexually explicit photos and then tried to bribe them for money to not make the photos public.  No word if Rambler was friends with former Cumberland County Commissioner Bruce Barclay.
