Paul Kanjorski and his campaign could not have been happy when they saw the liberal blog Daily Kos had a poll showing Republican challenger Lou Barletta leading the incumbent. But this afternoon Kanjorski received some good news.

Kanjorski has received the endorsement from the National Rifle Association, which is always a boost for Democrats in Pennsylvania. The NRA likes the appearance of bi-partisan support for candidates and is always looking for Democratic incumbents to endorse. In Pennsylvania they always find some pro-gun rights Democrats to get behind. Kanjorski, is joined by Jason Altmire and Tim Holden as Democrats the NRA loves to throw their support to.

Democratic Congressman Jason Altmire picked up a major endorsement today when the National Rifle Association endorsed his candidacy against Melissa Hart. The NRA endorsement is a major blow to Hart who needs every conservative group she can obtain to rally behind her and work for her effort to take back the seat she lost two years ago.
