Congressional candidate Lou BarlettaFor their first television ad of the fall campaign season, House Democrats have chosen Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta as their target, The Associated Press reports.
Barletta is challenging longtime incumbent U.S. Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-Nanticoke City) in an 11th District race that has grown increasingly heated in recent weeks. In the first TV spot by either party, Democrats paint Barletta, who gained national notoriety as a staunch opponent of illegal immigration, as a supporter of President Bush.
Republican Lou Barletta "may be George Bush's friend. But he's no friend of the middle class," says the commercial. The president's image graces the screen for the entire 30-second ad, The AP reports.
Republicans have had a real bad month while things have been great for Democrats over the last month (unless your name is Bill DeWeese). >

Barletta & the consequences of illegal immigration
Oil! We cannot keep up the demand for it right now! Diversity Alliance for Sustainable America. www.earthtimes.org/ stated in it's article that if the U.S. grants amnesty and gives citizenship to 12 to 30 million illegal migrants already here, as McCain, Obama and the majority of Democrats propose. Perhaps leading Democrats should listen to Lou Barletta and stop trying to appease the special interest lobby? All those naturalized citizens could possibly add 120 million U.S. and foreign-born relatives to the U.S., in the next 20 years whom all consume energy. Does the American people need to escalate the 315 million plus population, the census estimates we have now? To a new total of 435 million?
Look at Mexico, China, India! Overpopulated countries, where people starve to death everyday. How are taxpayers expected to pay for supporting all those poor people, their children and their elderly. Whose going to pay once they sponsor their extended families from other countries? What about the next rush on the border? We cannot even sustain our own people, who live in poverty? Are we heading for overpopulation like other countries?
Where are the newcomers going to drive their cars, on already gridlocked highways? Are they going to start clearing more farmland to build more houses? What about water shortages in the Southwest? Think of the consequences if we pass another AMNESTY? Read unsuppressed facts at NUMBERSUSA.
