A week after PolitickerPA.com reported that Republicans were increasingly concerned about John McCain's chances of winning Pennsylvania, a growing number of reports are adding to the sense of despair in GOP circles.
With polls almost universally turning in favor of Barack Obama, some Republicans are all but conceding that McCain can't capture the state's 21 electoral votes, The Inquirer reports.
The Assocated Press reports that McCain is losing the critical support of working-class white voters.
And Politico calls the McCain campaign's decision to keep competing in Pennsylvania a "costly gambit."
"There's a window of opportunity, but it's closing," Republican political consultant Jeff Coleman told PolitickerPA.com last week.

Don't Believe the Hype
Typical politics. Don't buy into it. Democrats want nothing more than for all of you supporting John McCain to think it's over. He can't win. I might as well stay at home. Don't believe it. Remember, polls can be doctored.
