Sean Ramaley and Anna Marie Perretta-Rosepink stand outside the courthouse after a judge decided they must stand trial: Politicker Photo
Dauphin County President Judge Richard Lewis said Wednesday the prosecution showed enough evidence during this week's preliminary hearing to take their cases against "Bonusgate" defendants Sean Ramaley and Anna Marie Perretta-Rosepink to trial.
The judge indicated the attorneys for both defendants, who said their clients were simply pawns to the schemes masterminds like Mike Veon and Bill DeWeese, made good points in their closing arguments. But, he said, his only responsibility was to determine if the prosecution had shown "prima facie," which he said they had.

That's a very good point about pawns. It was bad judgement, but Veon and DeWeese should be the ones to go down hard....not the people they suckered into their scheme.
My Take...
I used to work with Sean Ramaley in Ohio. He has so much promise and I really liked him, but I have to admit that even then he was lax about actually working while he was being paid by the state "on the clock." He's a really nice guy, very ambitious, but he seems to have some kind of inherent blind spot with regard to this issue. I have no idea why! I don't know why would he would risk his entire career and reputation like this, except I did see him get away with doing these things in a govt. job in Ohio. Sean is NOT a bad guy-maybe just a FOOL! He is an attorney, too, and should understand strict liability statutes... The prosecutor seems quite able --wow, poor Sean!!
