Two 'Bonusgate' defendents reach deals, to testify Wednesday, Ramaley attorney says

Two of the 12 defendants indicted as part of "Bonusgate" have accepted deals from the attorney general's office, the attorney for state Rep. Sean Ramaley (D-Beaver County) said after Tuesday's preliminary hearing.

Philip Ignelzi could not specify who has accepted the deal, but said the prosecution informed them of the deal after Tuesday's hearing. The two unknown defendants will testify tomorrow, Ignelzi said.

"There has to be a deal," Ignelzi said, who added that such an arrangement would not be unusual.

He went on to speculate the deal did not involve former House Minority Whip Mike Veon or Eric Webb.

A spokesman for the attorney general declined to comment.
