Specter endorses Barletta

U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Philadelphia) endorsed congressional candidate Lou Barletta on Monday, a move that could help the Hazelton mayor win moderate voters in the largely Democratic district.

Barletta faces U.S. Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-Nanticoke) this fall in the 11th Congressional District, considered one of the country's most competitive races.

Specter and Barletta do not see eye-to-eye on every issue, especially immigration. Barletta has become known nationwide for his anti-illegal immigration stance while mayor of Hazelton.

Specter is considered a much more moderate Republican and has advocated for degree of amnesty for illegal aliens in the past.

But the two had only kind words for each other in a statement released by Barletta's campaign.

"Lou Barletta has won the confidence of both parties and that's really quite an accomplishment," Specter said.

ILLEGAL ALIENS are not... LEGAL IMMIGRANTS..!

I feel sorry for the people who wander blindly into the web of deceit. Because we believe these people who supposedly represent THE PEOPLE. Lou Barletta, unlike most has held his own, even though he has been harshly demonised by the Special Interesty lobby.

Ahead of the list is the anti-American ACLU, Southern Poverty league and even the money business machine of the US Chamber of Commerce. These organizations are anti-sovereignty and out to imort cheap labor and outsource your jobs. Next year we will know the truth, from either benefactor of the presidency.

Obama promises AMNESTY and McCain a Guest Worker program. But to enact either policies, they must first both voted upon by the Congress, Senate and an irate American people. Be aware that Oklahoma is just one of the states, suffering from funds being drained to support illegal alien welfare. Having more funding thrown into stopping the illegal immigration invasion, is not the answer.

We need the main objective of the FEDERAL SAVE ACT (H.R.4088) that will add harsher penalties for parasite employers who hire them, over citizens , build the original planned border fence with an added 20.000 patrolman, military equipment and the mandatory E-VERIFY business worker verification.

Arlen Specter needs Lou Barletta more than Lou Barletta will ever need Arlen Specter.

82% of Americans want our borders closed and the 38M illegal aliens deported. Conversely, approximately 82% of Arlen Specter's time has been spent drafting legislation that would provide amnesty to illegals and increase VISAs.

Now that Specter realizes 82% of voters in Hazelton favored Barletta, and realizing that 82% of Pennsylvanians want Specter out of office, Specter decides to endorse someone who is 180 degrees removed from his views.

Until Arlen Specter follows Lou Barletta's lead by acting in the best interest of this country and his constituents, instead of being beholden to special interests, I doubt Lou Barletta will be endorsing Arlen Specter in his next bid for re-election.

Paul Kanjorski, Kanjorski, a 12-term Democrat has had his turn at bat and struck out on Illegal Aliens, the Bailout, Earmarks, and last but not least Cornerstone Technologies approximately $9.25 million in taxpayer funds were steered by Kanjorski to the company. “The Case of the Missing Pump”

“I have no relationship to the Cornerstone company and have had no involvement in the company’s legal proceedings, except I indicated my willingness to give a deposition,” he said in a statement to Politico. If Cornerstone owes the Navy something, he said, “that is a matter between the contracting parties.”
Cornerstone’s lawyer was unaware of the pump and said the Navy never mentioned it.
“I don’t deny that they may have paid money and may have thought that that’s what they were getting. And maybe there is one there,” said John H. Doran, a Wilkes-Barre, Pa., lawyer specializing in bankruptcies. “It strikes me as strange that they’re saying a year later, ‘Gee, that’s our pump.’”

The company reported in its bankruptcy filing that it owed a debt of unknown value to the Navy for an “incomplete contract,” but the U.S. government has not filed a claim against Cornerstone.

This has been a powder keg issue, but I've seen what illegals have done to Hazleton over the years. There are many businesses that hire them without checking any form of ID. When they do, there are employment agencies that bring in illegals. The only paperwork the company needs to worry about is for the agency, which in turn pays the workers cash. A lot of these were jobs that people wanted. The only reason they pull this nonsense is so business owners can pay crap and get rich - especially when some of them aren't even paying minimum wage. Everyone in the city knows about it. For example, Valmont Park has some. I'll give republicans credit for trying to stop it. Democrats are the ones lying to the middle class. They pull out a sob story and claim they care about us. When are people going to wake up? Democrats are responsible for our jobs going away and the quality of life declining, all while standing there smiling saying they're doing it for our own good. And don't listen to anything Frank Lutz's polls say. He was caught forging one here. How come the national news won't play that? I'm willing to bet many more are just as fake. It's not that hard to deal with. If businesses didn't hire them and nobody rented them a home, they wouldn't stay would they? I'm all for coming to this country, but do it like everybody else. My ancestors learned english and became Americans. Not Italian American, Irish American, Asian Americcan, or any of that nonsense. AMERICANS. Why do latinos think they're better than everybody else? If this country caves in to them, then the rest of us should sue the government for discrimination. Our ancestors most certainly weren't pandered to like this.
