Scarnati expects Rendell to be active in politics until November

MINNETONKA, Minn. -- Gov. Ed Rendell received criticism in April that he spent too much time campaigning for U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and not enough on running the state.

State Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-Warren County) expects a repeat this fall.

"I assume he'll be kept busy until November," Scarnati told PolitickerPA.com, adding that Rendell is clearly "extremely interested" in politics.

Scarnati passed on an opportunity to attack the governor for it.

"You can no more take politics out of government than salt out of the sea," he said.

It won't help

Let Rendell run around campaigning for the obamamessiah. It won't work. obama's unelectable. Hey obama - Take your 75+ campaign offices, your annoying ads and your "I'm from Scranton" running mate and go back to Chicago, where thug politics are acceptable.

Appropriate comment from Scarnati

Well said, Senator. Especially given that the Nyquist brothers on your staff used your district office as campaign headquarters for the failed primary bid against Rep. Rapp in 2004 and again when trying to knock her off in the 2008 primary.

Funny how Joe criticizes the Gov. He just got back from Minnesota and is going on vacation in Oct. He went to Italy last year with his girlfriend on the taxpayers time and money. It's time people know the truth about this guy who likes to talk, but never really says anything!!!
