U.S. Sens. Joe Biden (D-Del.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.): Getty Images PhotoA day after they accept the Democratic nomination for president and vice president, Barack Obama and Joe Biden will campaign in Beaver, an area with the blue-collar voters who Obama struggled with during the primary.
The event, which will start at 7:30 p.m. in Irvine Park, will be the first campaign stop for Biden and Obama after the convention. It is part of a four-day bus trip for the two candidates, who will be joined by their wives, as they campaign in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan.
It will also be Obama's first campaign stop in the Keystone State since the primary.
Their trip coincides with the day U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is rumored to announce his vice presidential pick. McCain will also campaign in western Pennsylvania a day later, when he is scheduled to hold a rally in Washington.
