Regola steps down from campaign
By Alex Roarty, PolitickerPA.com ReporterState Sen. Bob Regola (R-Westmoreland County) has dropped out of his re-election campaign, according to a spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania Department of State.
The forms were turned into the department in Harrisburg at 1:23 Monday, the spokeswoman said. The deadline for pulling out the race is today at 5 p.m.
The senator has been embattled since being charged with perjury and reckless endangerment stemming from the death of a 14-year-old neighbor. He was acquitted of all charges last month, but apparently the damage to his re-election candidacy has already been done.

Let us get this straight in the Democratic County of Westmoreland >>>
The Democratic Coroner stated that the death of
Louis Farrell was a suicide.
The recent trial in the Democratic majority of Bob Regola in Westmoreland County found him innocent.
So perhaps he was correct in saying today that the media was the MAJOR PLAYER is his decision to drop out of his re-election race.
We will miss all of his efforts & accomplishments.

This has nothing to do with
This has nothing to do with dems or republicans. This has to do with a selfish , egotistical man who knew everything he mentioned in his statement today when he accepted his party's nomination. He acts like this is all new news to him. He didn't worry about his "friends, family, & supporters" when he accepted the nom. He only finds them worthy of his sacrifice when he saw he was going to be embarassed in November. He should have done the GOP a favor and dropped out long ago when they had a fighting chance if he really cared about his party. Although he has been a member of both parties in the last 5 years. As far as a witchhunt if Lou Farrell was your child you'd want Regola prosecuted too, don't lie and say you wouldn't.
