Cahir pulls in $120K

Democrat Bill Cahir, the former political reporter who is now running for U.S. Congress in District, has raised $120,000 since entering the race in late February. The campaign has $100,000 on hand.

For a Democrat to win the seat, Cahir spokesperson Daren Berringer said, “Our nominee has to demonstrate that they can not only garner votes, but can raise enough money to reach out to new voters and voters of the opposite party. Our campaign is extremely pleased with the fact that in a rural and Republican stronghold district, hundreds of people from all walks of life are seeing Bill Cahir’s candidacy as a real opportunity to win this seat and get this country moving in the right direction.”

Cahir is one of three Democrats running for the seat Republican U.S. Rep. John Peterson is stepping down from after five terms.
